Story night: Grand opening of Simply Sweet Sensations

Tonight is the grand opening of Simply Sweet Sensations, what is being touted in the food and culture section of the papers as an upscale dessert experience brought down to the streets of San Francisco by east coast bake Ruth Norris, whose previous establishments have all been regarded as the creme de la creme of main street confectionary bakeries.

Simply Sweet sensations was housed in a spaciouse lower level of what use to be an old victorian style home. The exterior had been repainted to a dusty blue with white trim. There was an arbor over the door and bay windows they were a light sage green with dust plum stripes.
Inside the walls were painted the sage green, white trim and chair rail with dark chocolate brown on the walls under the chair rail. There were several quaint dark chocolate brown tables with chairs. The cases held pies, cakes, bars, cookies, cupcakes, and other gourmet sweets. Behind the counter was a wall that housed all different styles of breads. Everything was available for sale whole or by the piece.
